Mike Cope has been Highland's preaching minister since 1991. Before that, he preached seven years at the College Church in Searcy, Arkansas. For six
years he edited 21st Century Christian magazine, and since 1992 has been the co-editor of Wineskins magazine (his work with Wineskins and the Zoe Group can be searched at www.wineskins.org and www.zoegroup.org). He teaches Bible classes for freshmen at ACU, and writes regularly in his online journal (www.preachermike.com).

He and Diane married in 1978, and have had three children: Matt (married to Jenna), Megan (who died in 1994), and Christopher (a middle-schooler).

He loves coaching little league, hiking, scuba diving, running, and looking
for the perfect guacamole recipe.
