The Christmas Store is set up and held from early August until early December. Highland friends, neighbors, individuals, neighborhood children and parents volunteer and participate in self-improvement programs set up by Highland Community Ministries (FaithWorks, Freedom Fellowship, Highland members, Friendship House). Participants earn points while participating in these programs that equip them to enhanced their role in our community. Volunteers then set up a temporary Christmas Store in which participants can “shop” with their points and purchase gifts for family and friends. The Christmas Store is supplied with gifts through donations from Highland members, community businesses and clubs.
