Into All The World 2008

During 2008, thirteen groups of Highland members and youth will travel all over the world to serve in the name of Christ! Over 300 Christians of all ages will travel to places near and far to work, serve, and encourage. Stateside trips will be to Pittsburgh (Kansas), Ft. Worth, Alaska, and Houston. Foreign trips will be to Jamaica, Salvador (Brazil), Itu (Brazil), Ghana, and Mexico. One team has already traveled to Tenali, India, and spent several days there serving and working with the orphans at the Sanctuary Home.

All of these trips are part of Into All the World 2008, a huge undertaking by Highland. This is the third time we have sponsored trips such as these, and each time we learn more about how we can be most effective in short term mission efforts. Most of these trips will take place in June and July, and last minute preparations are underway.

The theme for this year's campaign is "Scattered." Borrowing from Jesus' parables and the Psalms, it reminds us that God's purposes require us to move into the world and to find our way into places where new life is needed. This campaign is one small way in which Highland members are acting daily to give ourselves over to God's mission and purposes as he seeks to reclaim his world.
