(return to top)GRACE FELLOWSHIP
For several months, a small group has been meeting at Grace Fellowship at 910 Cypress with one goal…
to be the Light of Christ by loving God and by providing spiritual nourishment as well as Christian service to family, friends, and the community of Abilene.
Please join us in our ongoing daily prayers for Grace as we…
1. Share the good news of the kingdom of God and make disciples of Jesus. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." ~ Matthew 28:19-20
2. Provide a place in the neighborhood for worship and integrate believers into the body of Christ. "Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.’" ~ Matthew 22:37-38
3. Create a Christian environment and presence in the Grace Fellowship neighborhood. "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’" ~ Matthew 25:35-40
4. Train, equip, and release Highland members to be missional in the Abilene community. "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified." ~ Romans 8:29-30

(return to top)HIS KIDS MINISTRY
Musical Update: After much thought, discussion, and prayer, we have come to the decision not to have a Christmas musical this year. We are very thankful for those volunteers who offered to be part of a musical team, but we were unable to find a choral director who could lead the entire team of helpers and children. The musical has been an important part of our Highland family tradition, and although we will miss sharing the experience this year, we are looking forward to making new memories during the holiday season as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
HIS KIDS Worship: Pre-school children, ages 3 - 5, will meet this morning in Room 113, just off the South Foyer.
For Twos Only: Childcare is available for all two year-olds during worship. Younger Twos meet in Nursery E, off the South Foyer, and the Older Twos meet in the 2’s classroom, downstairs in the North Children’s Wing.
Nursery care is provided each Sunday in the attended Nursery Suite off the South Foyer. The Mom’s Nursery and Family Room are available for infants and toddlers accompanied by parents or grandparents.
