Welcome to Launchpad!

Do you sense God stirring something in your heart? An idea for a new way of serving, meeting a need, or creating a space for discipleship? Launchpad is a new outgrowth of our Restoration Vision that exists to help you explore that need alongside church community to turn it into meaningful ministry.

Launchpad is rooted in the belief that every person who is a part of our church is called to actively live into God's heart for restoration--but not alone. Let us help launch you toward your part in God's good work.

Launchpad FAQs

Need to know more? Check below for additional information on Launchpad as you plan your launch.

If you are a member of Highland, and you have:
1. A clear, focused idea for an event, ministry group, or service project that you think aligns with Highland's mission to restore Highland, Abilene, or the world, and
2. At least one other person that believes in the idea too,
Then Launchpad is likely for you!

The beauty of Launchpad is its diversity! Launchpad project ideas can look like:
- Weekend retreat aimed at resourcing/supporting those with chronic illness/pain
- A prayer room inside our church
- A permanent "teacher closet" with school supplies for our teachers
- A short-term local mission trip led by members of our church for the benefit of our community
And much more!

If you can create a one- or two-sentence description of your idea, and approximately how much you think it will cost, you are free to apply. Our Launchpad Leadership Team will at that point evaluate the idea and meet with you personally to decide next steps.

For projects whose total projected cost is less than $1000, Launchpad will fully fund your project. If your project has a projected cost exceeding $1000, Highland will match whatever you provide or raise toward the project up to $2,500. Know that each project will be evaluated by the Launchpad Leadership Team and projected cost may change based on their assessment.

The Launchpad Leadership Team will act as practical/financial support on behalf of Highland, but they will also offer guidance and connect you with any other resources you might need as you pursue your project from beginning to end. Basically, they will be your biggest cheerleaders throughout the whole process!
