Becky Almanza

Community Minister

In 2016, Becky began serving as one of the Restore Abilene ministers overseeing Highland Community Care (Benevolence). In 2018, she added to her duties as the full-time Director of Highland Food Pantry. She is part of the Abilene Big Country Hunger Coalition and oversees the Free Summer Meals program. Becky obtained a degree in Christian Ministry from ACU in 2011 and completed her Masters of Human Services in 2018. Becky is passionate about helping others reach their full potential by walking with them and discovering their Godly gifts of service to others.  She loves Highland because Highland allows everyone to have a seat at their table.

Becky loves to cook for her husband, Joe and her large extended family. She is continuing her 5-generation, Mexican-American heritage and tradition of making tamales with her daughter Rachel. Rachel lives in San Antonio with her husband, Art and granddaughter Gaby. Her son, Lucas lives and works in Abilene and son Roman is part of the Highland Student Ministry.
