M.MFT, LMFT-Associate

EMDR-trained

Julie Ehler holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. She joined Highland Counseling Center in 2025 and quickly felt at home among a community dedicated to hope and healing.

Julie was drawn to the field by a desire to walk with people through some of the most difficult seasons of their lives and to help them rediscover hope along the way. She draws from narrative and attachment-based therapies, EMDR, and her Christian faith to guide her work. Julie values creating a safe and compassionate space where clients can build emotional connection, strengthen resilience, and experience meaningful growth. She sees therapy as a ministry of hope and considers it a privilege to share in her clients’ stories.

Julie and her husband, Jason, live in the Abilene area with their two beautiful children and two golden retrievers who keep life full of joy and energy.
